"CHASED BY THE TIDES" is the story of people living in the Gulf of Mottama in Thanatpin and Kawa Township in Bago Region and facing many challenges and difficulties on their livelihoods and relocations for new resettlement after their villages and farmland were collapsed. According to local communities, the erosion destroyed thousand acres of farmland and forced thousand of people from more then 12 villages and forced them into poverty traps. This incident has beyond control by the communities and need further humanitarian assistance from donors agencies and protection from the government of Myanmar.
